ARC DE TRIOMPHE, PARIS 2021

"Wrapped" was an art project by the artist couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude

My photo project “PARIS 2021” shows the French metropolis at a very special time: the wrapping of the Arc de Triomphe according to the plans of the famous artist couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude. It took place there from September 18th for 16 days until October 3rd, 2021.

This photo journey marks a special milestone in my projects as a photographer, because this unique art project was never about the wrapping itself, but always about the change in perception achieved by it. That's exactly what my Parisian photographs are about - focusing on the altered depiction of the landmark in the middle of the city.
